The Law Of Attraction and reality
We will spare the introduction and just jump right in, thank you for taking the time to read my humble opinions on these important issues of life.
We will look at how we receive things and how our previous experiences can limit our present and our past.
You are Not Compatible With Or on the Same Level as an Animal
God made us in His image, so we are not like animals, and even though there are animals who have bigger brains than humans, they are still animals.

There is no comparison, just like there is no comparing humans to a rock or a tree.
-
Everything is living, and everything has as its source the God of all creation, but it was a man that God chose to form in His likeness.
And from that man created woman. (perhaps His greatest work of all, in my opinion.)
He breathed the breath of life into the man after forming man, and Adam became a living being.
God formed all other life and brought them to Adam to see what Adam would name them. That had to be so much fun, and I am so jealous.
Here is the issue:
After bringing all of the living creatures that God created to Adam, we read this, “But for Adam, there was not found a helper comparable to him.”
We know what happened after this, God put Adam to sleep and took one of his ribs and BUILT the woman.
He formed the animals, He formed Adam, but He built Eve!
The reason for stating, what I thought to be common knowledge, is because so many who teach the law of attraction seem to forget where they came from.
Their advice will take you off to some mystical place of anti-Christian values and into things that are real and harmful to you spiritually.
They try to mix in the principles of scripture without giving credit or acknowledging the Source of scripture.
Be very careful who you listen to and what they are saying to you. Also, pay attention to what they do not say or acknowledge as well.
We Can Change What We Are Attracting Into Our Lives
-
Changing our environment
-
Changing our thinking
As humans, not only can we create our environment to survive, we can change our thoughts, identities, our beliefs, and our future.
You are nothing like an animal in that you do not live by instincts alone.
Drop a man into any almost any environment and he can adjust, adapt, and create conditions so that he can survive.
Animals can adjust to a point and adapt but they live by instinct.
We can choose to be positive and do our best, or we can give up and become lax and careless and take what comes our way.
What we can do
-
A person can allow one incident in life to dramatically influence every day for the rest of their lives and keep them paralyzed in thoughts that can affect their health, family, job, social life and even bring them all to ruin.
-
We can also instantly change which thoughts we are focusing on, repeat those thoughts more and more, and begin to attract what we want instead of living in yesterday’s disappointments or failures.
How You Recieve is Based on How You Perceive
-
We all have filters in our minds
-
What do I see that affects the way I listen
-
What message the listener gets
When we hear or read new information, it does not affect everyone the same way or have the same impact on everyone’s life.
That means that giving the same instruction or knowledge to a hundred people can likely have one hundred different results.
Many different things determine how we receive information as well as how others collect the information we may send out.
A person speaking or teaching may think that they are sending out one thing when they are sending out a very different message non-verbally or in their attitude.
We may think we know what we need and are open to learning, and yet we are so hung up on a million different things that we miss the message altogether.
Here are some lists of factors that play a roll in what we hear when others speak or teach.
The same law of attraction applies, but often we do not realize what is going on.
What messages might the speaker be sending out:
-
Clear and smooth delivery, or trip over their tongue
-
Energetic and good vibrations
-
Focus on teaching and engaging with the audience
-
Tone
-
Body Language
-
Posture, quirks, and mannerisms
-
Knowledgeable or not about the information
-
Experience or lack of experience with the topic
-
Confident or Insecure and timid
-
Serious or casual
-
Relaxed or tense
-
Care about what they are teaching or do not care
-
Love or Hate
-
(And can add many more to the list)
If someone grew up in an abusive environment where they hear loud screaming and yelling followed by violence, how do you suppose they will receive a message from a speaker who yells loudly and seems to get emotionally charged?
These types of experiences are real and have real effects on behavior, learning, and living a happy life—something to consider and keep in mind is that often what we think we are putting out or giving, is not how others receive it.
The perspective of the One who is listening or watching is often influenced by:
-
The tone of the speaker
-
Can they relate to some quality or characteristic about the speaker
-
Did they like the sound of the speaker’s voice
-
The credibility of the speaker
-
The appearance of the speaker
-
How they dress
-
Are they well-groomed
-
How the speaker made them feel
-
Stereotypes
-
Distractions
-
How long the message lasted
-
Was the speaker confident in the message delivered
-
Were they going through some event that was stressful and emotional at the time that they listened to the speech
-
Was the environment comfortable, the seating, the temperature
-
Who you were with
-
Voluntary or required to be there
-
(fill in the blank because a relevant list is One that has things which personally affects you)
And the information that they received either reinforces what they already believed or, in some cases, enlightened them with new information and formed new beliefs.
The more we hear the same information and speaker, the more familiar the message becomes, and the more likely we are to know and apply it.
Experiences Can Lead us to Wrong Conclusions
Personal experiences can become our new law
My own experiences are not reality or a perfect testimony of Truth but are often my perception from my experiences or opinions of others. They are, however, Truth to me as yours are to you.
Having a terrible experience with a fast-food restaurant from lousy food and service can create an emotion-filled memory.
And because that experience was one of emotion, I will never forget it, and it will significantly influence me in my view of eating out, especially at that particular place.
Specific smells or tastes will immediately take me back to that moment, and those bad feelings and emotions.
Now, every time I am asked to go eat out or at someone`s home for dinner, I am reluctant and make excuses on why I cannot go.
My past is controlling my ability to experience the fellowship and good food that I could be having if I would take control of the negative limiting thoughts that have developed over time because of one bad incident.

I Cannot Forget
-
our brains are not so forgetful as we may claim
We can understand that our brains are supercomputers and more than that, they are supercharged by emotions tied to our personal experiences.
Smash your finger with a hammer trying to hit a nail, and the next time you go to drive in a nail, you are likely going to be feeling the memory of the pain associated with your accident.
And this is positive in that our minds and brain work to protect us from harm.
-
Where the problem comes in is when we have negative experiences and never learn, heal, or get an overall view of the situation and keep all the negative and often incorrect information stored in our brains and memory about any given subject.
Auto-Responder E-mail From the Brain
-
set up for success or failure
-
one lousy experience means never again?
We can develop a predisposition for success or failure and operate with auto-responders to what comes our way.
Because of one bad meal at a fast-food joint, we do not stop eating but let someone have a negative experience at church, and they never go again.
When talking about church, the Bible, or God, some say they had a bad experience, so that was the end.
I almost laughed the first time I heard this explanation of why they wanted nothing to do with “religion.”
So how did they even get this far in life if all it takes is one bad experience and they are finished?
The assumptions that all churches are bad and full of hypocrites, that God allowed this or that to happen, and there are errors in the Bible (it must be true if I heard it on the History Channel), or that God doesn’t answer prayers, now block and close their minds.
No more knowledge or information is accepted, and they have closed them off and have replayed this same message a thousand times so that they are in automatic response mode anytime the subject comes up.
Satan is the Prince of the Power of the Air, he is the ruler of this world and the entire world is under his sway. So long as you look at him as a man in a shiny red suit, he owns you.
He is powerful and has filled this world’s system with the doctrine of demons which lead men far from the truth of God.
It may sound and feel good but in the end, it will lead to death and ruin.
And Christians must know this!
You can substitute fears and insecurities of almost any kind, in place of the examples, I am using here.

Confidence
-
We will ultimately only pursue those things with passion and consistency that we genuinely believe we can and should have.
A baseball player in a hitting slump or a pro golfer who can’t seem to find the hole typically does not discover that the problem is due to a mechanical issue because they have already become very skillful at their profession.
It is most often their minds and their lack of confidence, which sinks with every missed shot and every strikeout.
-
Be confident of what you want and your intention to have it, or you will not make it for very long when pursuing your goals and what you would like to attract into your life.
