WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN ABOUT IN THIS POST:
I Just Want to Give Back To Others
Before we get into the meat of this post, I need to mention something that bothers me quite often.
Over the past year, I have sat through countless sales pitches, webinars, and lectures from those who have “made it”, so to speak.
Primarily from Affiliate Marketers who, as most in the business know, earning a lot of money in that field is not something most ever achieve.
So most of those holding these webinars have had more success than others.
At least those who have made some significant money when compared to the average person.
The average being those growing majority of Americans who are living paycheck to paycheck with little to no savings or assets.
Now First, let me just say that I am not one to take the position that every wealthy person is greedy or has obtained their wealth by trampling over old ladies and young children. (I think some have)
But what I will say, is that the ability to make money, be lucky, time something just right, be blessed, or even work your way to the top (it is not the same for all), does not make the person who achieves it more valuable than someone who doesn`t.
Nor does making money suddenly mean that they are now the expert on all areas of life and knowledge.
For some, they have started from nothing and made their way up and it is commendable. But to suggest that all who achieve success are somehow better than others is, as we all know, foolish.
Granted, someone who has great wealth can and does have the means to do much good in the world.
But the same holds concerning the potential pitfalls of wealth. People can become obsessed with the fear of losing what they have acquired.
Especially in this business where things can change on a dime and leave you high and dry having done months or even years of hard work.
Still, having completely forgotten where they came from, what they started with, and where they will return one day, they go about thinking themselves a bit more than they should, and it shows.
For Charity or Not For Charity? That is the Question!
Forgive me but I just need to continue beating this topic for a moment to get this off of my mind so I will feel better. Then I promise we will move on to better things.
I find it quite disturbing that even though it is a well-known fact in America today that the average person has less than $1,000.00 in the bank, this fact seems to blow right by the minds of the gurus.
Of all the stats and charts they study and rattle off in their webinars, this one important yet constant fact seems to be something they have forgotten.
Those who claim they are wanting to give back to others out of the goodness of their hearts and help the poor wretched souls who are stuck in the muck and mire of debt and frustration financially, need to listen up.
To talk for an hour out of the kindness of your heart because you want to help others so badly, and fifteen minutes later say you want people to give you thousands of dollars? You have lost your mind. But you do not stop there.
Next, you remind everyone watching just how grateful they should be to you because of the amazing deal they will be getting when they give you thousands of dollars.
It would be like inviting a homeless person out to eat because you told him he needed some nutrition and you knew of the perfect restaurant.
Then, as you are finishing your meal, you casually inform him that he will have to pay the bill. And, he should be thankful that you took time out of your busy schedule to take him out to eat.
Dude? The idea that you are helping someone out of the goodness of your heart should first off, never be something you say.
Let another man’s lips praise you and not your own.
And secondly, your motives are so obvious no matter how you dance around, sugar coat it, or tell people some absurd self-assessed value of what you are giving them.
The fact that your entire sales pitch is misleading at best, you claim to be Santa Clause, and after 30 minutes of self-glorification and highlighting the two out of 2,000 who made money with your program (who happen to be your brother and cousin), you hit them up for thousands of dollars.
$$$Show me the money$$$
So in a group of several hundred people, I imagine there will always be those who can just whip out the ole checkbook ( for the younger folks, a check is…nevermind), and pay several thousand dollars.
For the rest and the vast majority of people, all they get is anxiety, disappointment, and discontentment.
As I said earlier, I have listened to many of these people practice this and felt I needed to speak up and bring some balance to the lopsided version of reality being spewed out of their pie-holes.
Just like the news, they all say the same words as though reading it from a script.
Just know that we are not all dumb and stupid. The last time I gave to or performed any act of charity, I am almost 100% positive that I did not get PAID.
And I am also reasonably confident that the very nature of charity involves giving without getting something in return.
- If you are doing what you say you are doing, then do it and charge nothing
- If you are charging for what you are doing then quit acting like you are a non-profit charitable organization when you are making tens of thousands of dollars.
Don`t misunderstand me, I believe in capitalism and the fair exchange of value. I see nothing wrong with people charging a fair price for their goods and services.
But do not charge someone thousands of dollars and think you are Mother Teresa for doing so. Especially when you know most people do not have that kind of money.
Moving On To The Real Topic Of This Blog
OK, I feel better, my apologies. Now that I have taken that off my mind and forced it upon everyone else’s (think of it as my charitable gift to you), we can get to a much bigger issue at hand.
And I will admit it may seem I am just harping on the same issue and beating it to death but that is not the case.
I want to talk briefly about the massive gap between the wealthy and the poor in this country. And not only in America but around the world.
Now, whatever it is you may think I am going to say,
you likely will not guess correctly.
There are two opposing views we all hear and know in regards to why the gap is so big. I will summarize and give my opinions but hang with me and we will get to the point quickly.
I believe the liberals who scream for socialism, higher takes, free everything, and who think the answer is to tax the rich, is not even worthy of discussion.
Take that garbage out of the arena of logic and common sense.
- Those who call for that would themselves never follow or live their own lives under what they say is best for others.
Same as any other communist country where the standards for the leaders at the top and the standards for those who they rule at the very bottom are so different you would think they are different species.
The millions of lives that have died from starvation and malnutrition around this world are staggering to comprehend, all the while the few in charge live like gods.
When it happens so far away it is easy to just look the other way. But when it is in your face and your reality, it is a far different story.
On the other side of the argument about this growing population of people who live in a land of abundance and opportunity and yet find themselves in poverty is to have smaller government, lower taxes, and give more power and control back to the people.
While I whole-heartedly agree with those principals, this will not fix this problem either. And, even if it did, why would those who have seized power and control give it back?
So what is causing this and what is causing it to happen with increasing speed to the point that the 9 richest people in the world combined have more money than four billion of the lowest income people in the world?
Well, we know that there have always been gaps as far back as societies existed. Some are gifted, talented, smart, and so on.
But that is not the cause of what is happening in society either, even though there are no doubt advantages to having some or all of those qualities in abundance.
Is it Just About Money?
The gap is only going to get bigger
The reason this is getting to unimaginable proportions is something called:
The Law of Accelerated Returns.
This concept is not something that someone just now figured out yet most people have probably never heard of it.
As populations of people increased on the earth so too did the speed at which knowledge was built upon, added to, and doubled in size.
So, while there may have been very few changes for thousands of years in how people lived and the knowledge that was accumulated and learned; eventually, and over time, and with increased populations, this began to change.
It was believed that up until about 1900 the total accumulation of all of histories knowledge was doubling in size about once per century.
By 1925 it doubled again and if we fast forward today, the total amount of information and the time it takes for that total to double in size is once every 13 months.
And, with the number of people now involved all over the world in testing and experimenting day and night growing by using technology to create even faster and more sophisticated computers and technology, the results are undeniable.
Moore`s law which looked at the future and integrated semiconductor circuits and their patterns, or the increasing capability for man to make them smaller and fit more information in much smaller areas ( best I can understand it), caused computer scientist and futurist Hans Moravec to conclude that the future would bring artificial intelligence to a level unimaginable just a few years ago.
And we are already seeing some of the results and the digital age is about to explode in our lives.
When was the last time you stopped to think about the technology you use every single day?
Do you understand how you can pick up your cell phone and instantly talk to someone on the other side of the planet?
How about your television or your computer? How does it all work?
How do radio waves go through walls, concrete, and steel?
Even an airplane seems to defy logic and the Law of Gravity?
And a space ship that can fly to other planets?
How in the world did Michal Jordan jump from the free-throw line and slam dunk? (Just kidding)
The ability in medicine to transplant a heart from one human to another is incredible.
The size and magnificent structures around the world are breathtaking and the progress of humanity in terms of quality of life has been remarkable.
I know what you are thinking, so what does any of this have to do with the gap between the rich and the poor.
Well, the thing that has happened with technology has made it possible for humans to now start with nothing to create a business and become millionaires and billionaires very quickly.
We have seen how what used to take someone 20 years to grow their business, is now being accomplished in a fraction of the time.
Each new kid on the block, so to speak, is getting there much faster and with far fewer employees, and much more revenue.
This is due to the technology now available which allows and provides them the ability to scale businesses with incredible speed, never before seen.
Think of something like America`s Got Talent or one of the shows that seek out talent from around the world. From every country, every city, every town you are getting the best talent all coming together in a system designed to bring out the next superstar and next big thing.
Technology is globalizing things, pulling all of the best together, finding what works, and discarding what does not.
And the envelope is pushed to the limits every day from the millions of people looking to make money, be successful, and live the dream life. But the real money is coming from those who already have money.
Money is being poured into technology by the super-rich and investors of the world. Do we think it is just for fun?
If they are spending tens of millions now it is because they expect to make hundreds of millions or even billions in the years ahead. And they will because unlike most people, they have an unfair advantage in investing and always have.
So while I do believe that the Law of Accelerated Returns is what is creating all of this? Because that is what is taking place now. Granted, it is also aided by deception, horrible ethics in government, laws that benefit the few, and greed.
But you and I are not going to change that and the technology and knowledge explosion is still going to create larger gaps.
And we still do not teach kids about money in school? And that is no accident.
There is nothing anyone can do about this and in fact, it is going to get much worse.
What is most disturbing for the masses is that those who are now reaching these new heights of wealth are doing so with far fewer employees and far greater use of technology.
Computers and software are changing so fast that most of us never understand just how far we have come, or where we are.
We have already seen in the past where entire industries have gone from highly successful to bankrupt overnight due to this Law of Accelerated Returns.
Blockbuster is a perfect example as well as some of the phone companies all replaced in a flash by technology that seemed to come from nowhere.
Redbox and Netflicks put video stores like Blockbuster out of business, and these once supergiants became little ants.
And look at what happened to the cab industry that had been a large, stable industry for many decades. They all but vanished now thanks to new companies like Uber and Lyft.
The difference we see now is not that one company just does better than the competition but that technology and knowledge are such that one company eliminates the competition and completely changes the game.
This is also something we will no doubt see a great deal more of in the coming months and years. As new technology not only competes but eliminates the current methods of business and the way we live, the relevant will thrive and those no longer viewed as necessary will vanish.
(I am speaking in terms of business, of course)
Suddenly, how everyone viewed movies changed on a dime and have continued to change until now, where we no longer have a physical movie to buy or rent because the technology changed.
Things used to stay the same for many years in many areas of life and now they are changing so fast it can be frightening.
In the next couple of years, I believe we are going to see things happening so fast that most of us will not be prepared for them.
And the funny thing is, that little children are not phased by this as they grow up with and see these things as normal and the only way they know.
It is the older generations who have been doing things the same way for so long who may struggle the most.
Professional drivers such as truck drivers and delivery drivers are a massive industry that serves every state in the union.
But do many people understand that giant auto companies are busy building and developing artificial intelligent powered trucks to replace them?
Many people will just laugh and think that it is a joke.
It is no joke and just because you do not see it does not mean it is not happening. When the news finally breaks and it hits you like a truck (sorry) it will be too late to plan and prepare.
We go about life with the idea that we are secure and that when change does come it will be far ahead in the future.
Those days of slow progress and change have ended.
Welcome to the new digital age of Artificial Intelligence and automated computer everything.
What better way to lower costs than by taking away all of the humans doing the work and replace them with robots. Sounds like some sci-fi movies from the 90s are coming true after all. Robots do not complain, need time off, call in sick, show up late, or go on strike.
To me, it shows their ignorance because if you get rid of people and replace them all with robots, who do you think is going to be able to buy your products? Robots? Duh!
But, according to at least some nuts in government, they will just take care of everyone. Uh, how has that worked out for other countries?
Granted, if people do not have jobs, then you can produce products in just a few seconds with your robots, get rid of HR, insurance, benefits, and all life forms.
But you had better build bigger warehouses to keep it all because there will be no one with money to buy them.
What fuels these monsters is GREED and nothing more.
Just with Amazon alone and the change from storefronts to webpages has caused thousands of brick and mortar businesses to close their doors for good.
Amazon employes around 650,000 people and Walmart 2,200,000. Amazon has been growing and expanding and taking over more and more and, as automation expands, it will require fewer employees to run their operations.
And believe me, everyone in the “know” about this stuff and who are players, do not have the best interest of average Americans in the front of their minds unless it is about how to squeeze another dime from them.
The drive for power, fame, and control should be evident for many by now. Perhaps it can be hard to see with the good dog and pony show that is put out there to convince us otherwise.
Just because I help a little old lady across the street when everyone is watching, doesn`t mean that once we got out of sight I didn’t slap her and talk to her like she was a goat. ( I would never)
We are spoon-fed and completely in the dark about the reality of what is happening until we wake up and realize it is too late to do anything about it.
- So, without going on and on I guess we need to take a deep breath and come to grips with the reality that things are going to be challenging for all of us moving forward.
So what can we do?
What can regular normal hard-working men and women do so that we do not find ourselves at the extreme opposite end of all the wealth?
I cannot tell anyone what to do, how to think, or what to believe. And, for that matter, you may not believe any of what I am sharing with you today. Many times, I do not even listen to myself. But one thing I quit doing years ago is listening to the news media and constant lying and misleading that is now dominating the airwaves.
The sin of omission is just as powerful as the obvious biased, slanderous, agenda-driven distortion of information pumped into the minds of Americans 24-7.
Every magazine, newspaper, and news program you read or watch is owned by the same four companies in this country. This is why with little exception, they all say the same things at the same time and in the same biased and dishonest way.
Even if they report a lie, once it is out there the damage is done. Repeat it a thousand times per day on each network and they program people like robots and puppets.
I would say the rate of hot air doubling in size as far as those in the newsroom is concerned, is now happening at least once an hour.
There is a network in place to run things that have been kept hidden and behind the scenes for so long that when people learn of it, they often do not take it seriously or believe it.
And that my friend, is the way these folks would like everyone to keep right on thinking.
From our education to our diets and what we believe to be true has in large part been exactly what was planned for us to keep us where we are and allow all of those who are in control, to remain where they are.
- So getting the junk out of our minds is the first thing that can help us.
Here is Some Good News & Things we Can do
You and I do not Have to Be Victims.
The ultimate plans these kooks have devised ain’t gonna happen. They will simply push things in the direction that they want, and at some point, the world will be at war, again.
If you want to be on the right side of things as they change then you must be willing to change the way you see things and the way you think of your future.
If we just sit back and take what comes our way we may not like the results.
You have greatness inside you and God is still in control and on His throne. If you will allow Him, He will guide you every step of the way.
We must take action and not get stuck like a deer in the headlights.
By action I mean we need to be changing some habits and the way we look at money and our time.
- Money is neither good nor bad, it is just a means of exchange.
- It is the love of money which gets people off course and into trouble.
Our Habits are by far our biggest ally or our greatest enemy that determines the kind of life we had, we currently live, and what life we will have in the future.
There will always be things that seem unfair or those who seem to have an advantage, it is that way for all of us from our perspective.
- But if others can learn, grow, change, adapt, and survive then you can too!
One of the big reasons the rich will continue to get richer is the fact that they have the inside scoop on things long before the masses ever see it coming.
Take the stock market. While many people may be worried they will lose it all, and they may, insider trading and being in the loop allows many wealthy people to invest in companies long before they trade publicly.
By the time these stocks hit the stock exchanges and millions of dollars are invested, shooting the price of the stock up to the moon, the gains will be minimal for most except for those who invested in the beginning, who can now sell with massive profits in just a short time.
Is that fair? No, it`s not even close to being fair.
And over the next ten years, I believe we are going to see many people lose what they worked and saved for, and a much smaller group of winners that will make more money than they ever dreamed possible.
- I can tell you that it is highly unlikely that if you and I continue to think like we always have, and that this world is going to operate the same as it always has, we are likely to end up on the wrong side of these changes.
Which is why I say turn off the t.v. and movies. Read a book, learn about investing, and find new sources of information as opposed to being spoonfed a bunch of junk everyday.
I would rather offend some than candy coat a bunch of happy thoughts and fuzzy feelings that in the end harm you.
Get your bible out, dust it off, and read the entire thing. Around 10% of Americans have even read it all yet everyone has such strong biased opinions. Amazing!
Be willing to think and live outside of your comfort zone and be a help to those around you who may not be so strong, who may need a hand up, and even to be carried at times.
Do not be afraid to go against the mainstream or be unpopular with your choices. If the masses run off a cliff don`t follow them.
Broad is the way to destruction and many take its path like mindless machines slowly going down an assembly line.
Those machines have no voice in what gets added or taken from them. In the end, everyone else determines what they will be.
As humans, we get to choose what we will become and what we are.
While we all have influences and others who contribute to our lives, we had better choose them wisely and make sure they help lead us in the right direction.
Live your days with intention and passion.
Try things that maybe you were afraid to try before.
Fear keeps most of us frozen, passive and broke.
It takes energy, courage, and faith to step out into the unknown. To take chances means we risk embarrassment and having others mock or laugh at us. so what! Life is too short to spend it worried about what others think.
- They are going to think crap about you anyway so you might as well live what you believe, put your trust in God, and handle your business.
I will share what I know on this website so long as God allows me to.
We all have a voice and need each other. The more people who are willing to learn and share good sound information and knowledge, and who will show genuine charity towards others, expecting nothing in return, the better off we all will be.
- I am rooting for you and your family! I believe if you are strong enough to make it to the end of this long post, then you have nothing to fear, you are a warrior.
I have been awake for far too long and must end this short novel. My sincere thanks to you for spending some of your time here with me, and I hope it is always time well spent.
There is a lot to do and discover on this website and I hope you will take the time to look around and use the tools available.
If there is one thing I would ask, well two things. First, leave a comment so I know someone is reading all of this. Secondly, sign-up for the newsletter. It has not even started yet, and may still be some time before I start them.
I plan to make them short and worth reading to all who sign up. I will add any important directories or discounts I come across, inform you of any critical information or news, and seek to encourage you and support you any way I can.
I have learned that the only life worth living is the one I give away to Jesus Christ and in service to others. So, have an amazing day, and above all things, guard your heart. For out of our hearts, (minds) flows the issues of life.
